German Premiere of two works for cello and orchestra by Jacques Offenbach
Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt will perform the Musette and Introduction, Prière et Boléro by Jacques Offenbach with the Rundfunkorchester des WDR under the baton of Helmut Froschauer on January 8. It will be the first performance in Germany.
Dvorak concerto on air on Oct 16.
RBB will broadcast a performance of Dvorak’s cello concerto with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin under the baton of Marek Janowski on Oct 16 at 20.04
The performance took place in Konzerthaus Berlin on Sept 17.

Brahms Double Concerto with Belgrad Philharmonic
Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt will perform Brahms’ Double Concerto together with Ittai Shapira and the Belgrad Philharmonic under the baton of Rossen Milanov. (April 29th)
World Premiere "House of Mirrors" for 2 Cellos and Orchestra by Sören Nils Eichberg
Cello Duello will premiere a double concertos for two cellos by Sören Nils Eichberg together with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie under the baton of Eugene Tzgane (15.-21.2.2011). Sören Nils Eichberg wrote his double concerto“House of Mirrors” for Cello Duello. The performance in Herford will be recorded and broadcasted by DeutschlandRadio Kultur and WDR. In addition Cello Duello will play Julius Klengel’s double concerto op. 45.
Schumann Concerto in Philharmonie Cologne on Jan 23rd
Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt will perform Schumann’s Cello Concerto with the Staatskapelle Schwerin under the baton of Matthias Foremny in the Philharmonie Cologne.

New CD by Cello Duello will be released by Solo Musica in November
Solo Musica will release Cello Duello’s latest CD featuring original works for 2 cellos by Haydn, Barriere and Offenbach as well as the sonata by Jan Müller-Wieland which was written for Cello Duello. The CD will also include a few arrangements written by Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt: Handel-Halvorsen’s Passacaglia, Paganini’s Mosesfanatasie as well as the music to one of the most famous film scenes – the soundtrack to Ennio Morricone’s “Once Upon a Time in the West” for 6 cellos, on this CD performed as multi track recording. Cello Duello times 3!

Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt performed Schumann’s Cello Concerto with the Staatskapelle Schwerin under the baton of Matthias Foremny on Nov 29./30 and Dec 1. The concert (Nov 30) was recorded by Deutschlandradio Kultur and will be broadcasted on Dec 7 at 20.03 (Deutschlandradio Kultur).
